Complementing the policy guidance "Mainstreaming climate and environmental objectives in EU funding programmes in the post-2027 period," this illustrated brochure showcases diverse examples of nature-based solutions (NbS) across water, urban, transport, agriculture, and marine sectors.

It highlights how NbS can deliver climate mitigation, biodiversity restoration, and social co-benefits – while being cost-effective and adaptable. The publication is designed to inspire replication and scaling-up of successful projects, providing compelling case studies funded through LIFE, Horizon, and other EU programmes.

This publication was developed as part of the European Commission's study on “Mainstreaming climate and environmental objectives in EU funding programmes in the post-2027 period”, led by Ramboll with Ecologic Institute's contributions coordinated by Benjamin Kupilas.
