We achieve this through national and international projects for clients like the European Commission, Federal Ministries, the German Environment Agency (UBA), various foundations and companies. - Close cooperation with project controlling to understand analytical and control-related requirements and translate them into the data architecture
- Modeling, transforming, and analyzing complex data sets—focusing on data quality, consistency, and transparency
- Developing and implementing meaningful dashboards and reports, especially with Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, Power Pivot)
- Working with IT and other interfaces to ensure technical and content data integrity
Your profile:
- University degree in business informatics or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in setting up and operating an SQL database or a comparable data management solution – ideally carried out independently
- Very good knowledge of Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Power Pivot) and Excel
- Experience in data modeling, transforming, and automating data processes
- Knowledge of Tableau is an advantage, but not essential
- Analytical and structured approach to work, high affinity for complex sets of data
- Knowledge of controlling or finance is a plus
- Very good language skills in German and English (spoken and written)
- Strong communication skills and team orientation
What we offer:
- A permanent contract at an international, non-profit research institute
- Creative freedom and the opportunity to significantly shape and influence the institute's entire data landscape
- Excellent cooperation with a dedicated, interdisciplinary team
- Individual training, education opportunities, and a culture of feedback
- Flexible working hours and the opportunity to work remotely
- Contribution to the success of an Institute dedicated to environmental and sustainability research
