The German Environment Agency (UBA) announced the 6th European Resources Forum – "Transformative approaches for sustainable resource use and a circular economy".
Participants of the 6th European Resources Forum awaited a programme with innovative topics, high-level speakers and interesting conference formats.
The forum was founded in 2012 as a European and international platform for discussion on the issue of sustainable resource use and focuses on the political and scientific debate on this topic. The Forum contributes to the development and implementation of common positions for policy-making in Europe and internationally. Moreover, it is an instrument for communication on resource issues and for setting up networks and initiating stakeholder alliances at the European and international levels.
The conference addressed European decision makers and experts from the fields of policy development, industry, academia, civil society, the media and the "young generation". 700 participants from over 50 nations were expected, including 90 speakers.
The ERF 2022online offered around 20 plenary and parallel sessions (English and German language) on a wide range of interesting and innovative topics towards a sustainable resource use and a circular economy.
The team of Ecologic Institute supported the German Environment Agency in content-related issues surrounding the forum, including the preparation of materials for the three plenary sessions and the follow-up materials to the conference.
Dr. Camilla Bausch, Director of the Ecologic Institute, hosted the event, whose opening session featured UBA President Dirk Messner and Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke.
