This year, Ecologic Institute marks a meaningful milestone: 30 years of independent environmental research and policy engagement. On 30 June 2025, we are gathering in Berlin to celebrate this anniversary with our community of alumni, colleagues, funders, partners, and friends.

Together, we will take a glimpse into the diverse and international team behind the Institute, and look back at the stories, images, and successes of current and former staff that shape and have shaped its identity.

Our special guest, Sébastien Treyer, Executive Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI), will give insights into the broader challenges and opportunities for environmental research and policy today – from Europe's role in driving sustainability to the power of science in a shifting political landscape. In conversation with our Director, Christoph Heinrich, they will explore what is needed to continue shaping meaningful, evidence-based transformation in the years to come.  

This anniversary is more than a celebration – it is a moment to connect, reflect on our achievements, thank those who have been part of the journey, and look ahead with curiosity and confidence to the environmental challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Hosted in Berlin, the event will be moderated by our colleagues Matthias Duwe and Ewa Iwaszuk, and will feature live music from the GlasBlasSing band.
