Since the end of 2024, the funding programme “Circular Textiles” of the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) has been underway. A total of 16 collaborative projects are working on solutions for a circular textile economy.

The status conference, for the first time, presented consolidated interim results from these projects. In addition to the presentations, the event offered a range of opportunities for discussion and exchange, including three parallel workshops that explored key cross-cutting topics in greater depth.

The event was organised in cooperation with Augsburg University of Applied Sciences and the CirTex community. The latter presented its activities on site and provided space for networking and professional exchange.

We also took this opportunity to showcase the host city of Augsburg: for centuries, it was a major centre of textile production. Participants have therefore had the option to visit a recycling atelier and/or the textile museum.
