Effects of pharmaceuticals on the environment

Effects of pharmaceuticals on the environment

Teaching modules for pharmaceutical training at vocational schools

Project
Duration
-

Many stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector are unaware of the negative effects of pharmaceuticals on flora and fauna. Through their varied interactions with patients, pharmacy staff act as key disseminators of information and are in a position to pass on knowledge and practical advice through direct contact.

As part of the project Information and Teaching Materials for an Environmentally Conscious Use of Pharmaceuticals, university teaching materials on the environmental aspects of human medicines were created. Based theron, this project is developing teaching materials for pharmaceutical training at vocational schools. These will be made freely available to teachers on the UBA’s information platform. They can also be used for other purposes, such as medical training (e.g. for medical assistants and nursing professions).
