Particular attention is given to speciality and niche crops such as millet, buckwheat, quinoa, sea buckthorn, flaxseed, and legumes, which have gained increasing importance for regional value creation in recent years.

Together with stakeholders from farming, product development, processing, marketing and sales, we will explore the potential of speciality and niche crops for Brandenburg.
Practical presentations will provide insights into current developments in speciality and niche crops, as well as approaches to product development, marketing and sales. Through concrete examples, opportunities and challenges along the value chain will be highlighted.
The market information session will offer space for discussion and networking among stakeholders involved in cultivation, product development, processing, marketing and sales. Participants will jointly discuss perspectives for further developing regional organic value chains in Brandenburg.
The event is organised by Ecologic Institute on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems, Environment and Consumer Protection as part of the Brandenburg Organic Action Plan.
