The 2026 Market Information Talks aim to systematically address key challenges along these value chains and to develop practical solutions together with stakeholders. Building on the dialogues held in previous years, the 2026 series places a stronger emphasis on infrastructure needs.
Market information talks 2026: topics and schedule
- Storage & Pre-processing: Infrastructure for Regional Products (4 March 2026)
Registration | Programme
The agricultural and food sector in Brandenburg continues to face the challenge of establishing sufficient processing and marketing capacities for regionally and organically produced goods. At the same time, demand for organic and regional products is growing in the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan area – creating strong potential for expanding regional value chains.
Background
In addition to the investments required to build and expand missing processing and marketing structures in Brandenburg, strengthening networking, cooperation and communication along the value chain is essential.
When businesses jointly develop and use resources and infrastructure, capacities can be utilised more effectively and information asymmetries can be reduced. The Market Information Dialogues provide a platform for stakeholders to share their experiences, identify needs, and collaboratively develop solutions.
Review and Outlook
In 2024, four Market Information Talks were held on the topics of organic grain, organic niche crops, organic meat, and value chains for communal catering. These events brought together numerous stakeholders from across Brandenburg and demonstrated the importance of exchange and collaboration for expanding the organic sector.
Contribution of the Ecologic Institute
The Ecologic Institute supports Brandenburg’s organic sector by designing, organising, and facilitating the Market Information Talks. It provides key market and background information and creates a space in which stakeholders along the value chain can share their experiences, needs and perspectives.
By moderating the dialogues and fostering targeted networking, the Institute helps stakeholders develop joint solutions to current challenges. In doing so, the Ecologic Institute contributes to strengthening organic agriculture in Brandenburg and further expanding regional value chains.
