On 11 September 2014, nineteen top Arctic institutes in Europe proposed the establishment of an EU Arctic Information Centre as a network undertaking in the final seminar of the project "EU in the Arctic, The Arctic in the EU" in Brussels, Belgium. 4. RADOST Jahresbericht

The fourth RADOST annual report provides a comprehensive overview of activities and results of the RADOST project in the period from April 2012 to January 2013. The richly illustrated volume describes the state of research and networking in the six focus areas of coastal protection, tourism and beach management, water management and agriculture, ports and maritime economy, conservation and land use as well as renewable energies. Cutting-Edge Research Project RADOST Presents Results

The German newspaper "Die Zeit" recently reported on the "Regional Adaptation Strategies for the German Baltic Sea Coast" (RADOST) project and its cutting-edge research, led by Ecologic Institute. Results from five years of research funded by the "Managing climate change in the regions for the future" (Klimzug) initiative will be presented in Berlin on 26 and 27 November 2013 and in Rostock in April 2014.

EU Policies for Integrated Coastal Management and Maritime Spatial Planning

March 2014 to December 2015
The project supports the European Commission (EU) to coordinate and promote the implementation of European coastal and marine policies in the Member States. Issues with special focus are the analysis and development of integrated approaches and instruments for facilitating the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD). In addition, the project assists the EU in organising sessions and workshops with competent expert groups and in improving the exchange of model examples via the database of OURCOAST.Read more
