Guidance on Making Agricultural Measures Clear and Transparent at Farm Level

March 2011 to May 2013

The guidance document provides a tool to assist the WFD (Water Framework Directive) implementation at the farm level, giving advice to national and river basin management authorities on how mandatory and voluntary measures included within the WFD Programmes of Measures can be made operational at the farm level. This guidance document was developed through a collaborative programme involving the WFD Common Implementation Strategy (CIS) partners. Ecologic Institute intensely supported the drafting of the guidance itself as well as the organisation of the CIS workshop on "Clear measures for farmers" that provided input for the guidance. Policy instruments for adaptation to climate change in big European cities and metropolitan areas

Ecologic Institute led a study examining adaptation strategies in large cities and metropolitan areas across the European Union. A print version of the report is now available in English and French.  The study, which was commissioned by the Committee of the Regions, aims to identify best practices at the levels of both strategies and individual adaptation measures. Baltic Sea Region Climate Change Adaptation Strategy (BALTADAPT)

The BALTADAPT project (Baltic Sea Region Climate Change Adaptation Strategy) seeks to provide joint transnational solutions to address the sustainable management of the Baltic Sea in the context of climate change. The overall aim of the project is the development of a Baltic Sea Region wide strategy on climate change adaptation by improving the knowledge base and providing the operational basis for implementation of such a strategy through an action plan.

Regional Availability of Climate Knowledge in the Baltic Sea Region
